ABOUT FRESHWATER FAMILY FARM

Welcome to Freshwater Family Farm! Founded by Kari and Kendall Elkins, our small boutique microgreen operation thrives on the Freshwater Farm Reserve in Eureka, California. Our passion for microgreens blossomed from a countertop hobby in 2020 into a flourishing business, supplying over 150 trays weekly to local markets and restaurants including Eureka Natural Foods, Murphy’s, and renowned dining spots like Shamus T-Bone’s and Moonstone Grill.
 
Our farm is a family affair, nurtured by our strong Humboldt County roots and the support of our three children. With a diverse array of microgreens that go from seed to plate in just 21 days, we guarantee year-round freshness thanks to our sustainable indoor growing practices. As we embark on expanding into the Freshwater Farm Reserve, we’re excited to double our production, introduce new specialty crops, and further integrate into the community we hold dear.
